Donni Rae Blackwell is a Senior Film and Media student and second year student for Pitt to the Point. The PG County, Maryland native is finishing up her senior year with Pitt to the Point to follow her dreams of becoming a sideline sports reporter.
Last year, Donni fulfilled the roles of being producer, teleprompter, and Pitt sports reporter. Producing various sports packages for MBB and the NCAA tournament, alongside interviewing many athletes at Pitt’s 2023 Pro Day, newly hired WBB head coach Tory Verdi, and Pitt Legend Aaron Donald at the Blue and Gold Spring game. She also served as the Sports director for WPTS radio in Fall 2023. Propelling her to becoming a Channel 11intern at WPXI over the Fall 23 semester as well.
This year, Donni is looking to embark on a new journey in her career to become more confident in her work and secure a great position post grad. Looking to become a leader in her second year for Pitt to the Point, she hopes to spread her experience amongst the classroom.
