On Friday, the Panthers revealed Tory Verdi as their new women’s basketball head coach, following a month of searching. Verdi, who previously coached at UMass, will be taking over from the former Panther head coach Lance White, who was terminated from the program.

Over 200 individuals congregated in the August Wilson African American Cultural Center’s theater on Saturday evening, while an additional 1,900 viewers tuned in via YouTube, to witness the 11th annual competition of Dhirana – Pitt’s foremost classical Indian dance contest.
