Megan O’Connell, a Senior at the University of Pittsburgh, is on a journey to earn her degree in Media and Professional Communications with a focus on Corporate Community Relations. Simultaneously, she has pursued a certificate in Digital Media as well as a minor in Secondary Education.
Her passion for sports broadcasting was kindled during her upbringing as a New England sports fan. From being an athlete herself to witnessing her favorite city clinch numerous championships, she yearned for that electric sports environment. Megan’s move to Pittsburgh has not only met but exceeded her expectations, especially with the vibrant sports fan community. Excitement fills her as she embarks on her first season with Pitt to the Point, eager to connect with like-minded peers.
In her free time, she is the Vice President of Fundraising of the Pitt Women’s Club Basketball Team and enjoys spending time with her teammates.
