On March 29, Pitt’s Transgender Working Group held the “Trans Day of Vibing” event, which gave members the opportunity to fully be themselves. At the event, an organization called Dress For Success was there to provide clothing for women in any form of transition. They set up tables and racks of clothing as well as areas with feminine products available. This event gave people who are part of the LGBTQ community to feel included.

Pitt’s annual Bigelow Bash will take place on April 7, where multiple artists will perform. J.I.D. is the main performer, but Luh Tyler, My Favorite Color, and Pitt Factor winner 9FiftySeven will also be present and will perform. Pitt Program council members are working hard to make sure that this years experience will be one to remember. The event will be held at Schenley Drive in Oakland.

Pitt’s freshmen guard, Carlton ‘Bub’ Carrington recently declared for the NBA draft during his press conference. Carrington goes into the draft as a projected first round pick, after averaging 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. The entirety of Pitt Basketball is excited, but sad to see him go, especially because of the impact he had on the team. He has great scoring ability, a solid frame at 6-foot-5, and a pro-worthy basketball IQ that will suit him well in the future
