PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP)- From April 1st through April 6th, the Greek organizations on campus at The University of Pittsburgh participate in Greek Week. Greek Week is a time to highlight the dedication of the FSL community. The week is built up with events, programs, and fundraisers for sororities and fraternities to participate in. Chapters compete in pairs of 2-4 to earn points for their team. The biggest event is on the last day, Greek Sing; this is an annual dancing and singing competition. Each team creates a dance to perform in-front of the student body and they practice these routines for months before the event.
Each year, Greek Sing has three judges. This year they were: Sarah Siddiqui: SGB Vice President of Operations, Gretchen Natter: Assistant Dean for Community and Inclusion, and Gabbie Hanna: Influencers and Pitt alumni.
The winners of Greek Sing were the following:
Best Theme: Battle of the Bands (Kappa Kappa Gamma, Fiji, and Alpha Tau Omega)
Most Creative: Coraline (Chi Omega and Delta Sigma Phi)
Best Vocals: High School Musical (Alpha Epsilon Phi, Beta Theta Pi, and Sigma Chi)
Best Costumes: Bridgerton (Theta Phi Alpha and Phi Delta Theta)
