PITTSBURGH, PA — An eleven year old boy in California has pulled the one-of-one
autographed Paul Skenes MLB Debut Patch Topps Baseball Card.
The Pittsburgh Pirates shared that they would love to have the card come home to Pittsburgh,
offering the young fan many prizes in exchange for the one-of-a-kind baseball card. The Pirates
offer included- two Pirates season tickets behind home plate for the next thirty seasons, a softball
game for thirty at PNC Park (including Pirates alumni), a Spring training experience “like no
other” which would include a meet and greet with the star pitcher, Paul Skenes, two autographed
Skenes jerseys, batting practice and warm up with the team.
Additionally, Skenes girlfriend and star LSU gymnast- Olivia Dunne, offered the fan a chance to experience a game from her luxury
suite at PNC Park.
The boy chose to decline the team’s offer, deciding to put the card up for auction with fanatics.
The card will go to auction in March. Fanatics will take their portion of the proceeds and donate
them to Los Angeles County’s Wildfire Relief Fund.
