WASHINGTON, DC (PTTP) — Senator Cory Booker, a New Jersey Democrat, delivered a
historic speech on the Senate floor, speaking continuously for 25 hours and 5 minutes to protest
policies enacted by President Donald Trump’s administration. This marathon address, which

continuous Senate speech, surpassing the previous 24-hour, 18-minute record held by Senator
Strom Thurmond in 1957.
