PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP) – Dress for Success: Closet to a Career held its final event of the
semester on April 9, on the 35 floor of the Cathedral of Learning. Hosted by the Frederick
Honors College, the event gives away an array of different dress clothes for free to students for
anything they could need. With clothes donated by staff and students, Dress for Success offers
students a sustainable and affordable way to select clothes for any professional business
environment.
Arienne Joson, an Administrative Assistant at the David C. Frederick Honors College, was one
of the facilitators for Dress for Success. Joson believes that “Being able to get that for free is
really helpful for students, and sometimes there are students who don’t necessarily know where
to go shopping for that professional clothing, so it makes it really easy to find on campus.”
Dress for Success events have been running biweekly throughout March and April; however,
despite the final event passing, they plan to continue expanding. Next year, Dress for Success
will be on the 34 floor of the Cathedral of Learning and will be expanding its options for
students.
Students can find out more about the event via Pittwire emails, as well as the Suitable app. With
Dress for Success expanding next year, options for business professional clothes will be greater
than ever.
