Just a week after being donned as one of the nation’s Public Ivies, the University of Pittsburgh
received six top ten rankings within the nation’s best Health Sciences Graduate programs for
2025 by the U.S News and World Report’s 2025 best Graduate School Programs.
Five of them rank within the Top five nationally. Pitt was ranked second in nurse anesthesia,
third in occupational therapy, fifth in speech language pathology, fifth in audiology, and fifth in
the nurse practitioner program for psychiatric mental health. Pitt’s physical therapy program,
which is first nationally for undergraduate, was ranked ninth for graduate programs. Health Care
Management, Public Health, and Doctor of Nursing programs all were ranked just outside of the
Top ten.
Compared to last year, audiology has risen a spot, with Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric Mental
Health holding its spot at five for well over a year now. On top of its Graduate Programs, Pitt
was also ranked in the top 16 for Research, making it one of the nation’s Tier One schools.
Outside of its Health Sciences, Pitt received three top 50 rankings for its Engineering programs,
with two in top 30. Pitt’s Business Program was also ranked at 46, and its part-time MBA
Graduate program was placed 36 nationally. Even Pitt’s Law School received four top 40 law
programs.
Pitt continues to climb national rankings, for both graduate and undergraduate programs, earning
respect as one of the nation’s top institutions for not just Health Sciences, but across all
programs.
