PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – The Roaming Bean, a beloved mobile coffee truck in the Pittsburgh region, has officially established a permanent location in the Strip District, marking an exciting new chapter for the locally owned business. During my visit to the new storefront, I observed a steady flow of customers eager to experience the same quality and creativity that made the truck a regional favorite. The space maintains the brand’s welcoming and community-centered atmosphere while offering an expanded menu and a cozy environment for patrons to gather. The transition from a mobile operation to a brick-and-mortar location reflects the business’s growth and continued support from the Pittsburgh community.
While at the new location, I interviewed owner Penny Folino to learn more about her journey and the inspiration behind her specialty coffee drinks. Folino discussed her passion for crafting unique beverages that balance bold espresso flavors with inventive seasonal ingredients. She emphasized the importance of quality sourcing and intentional recipe development, noting that each drink is designed to provide customers with both comfort and creativity in every cup. Folino also shared insights into how customer feedback from the coffee truck helped shape the expanded offerings now available at the Strip District location.
In addition to signature favorites, Folino introduced a new Valentine’s Day menu featuring festive, limited-time beverages. The seasonal selections incorporate flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla, presented with decorative touches that align with the holiday theme. According to Folino, the Valentine’s Day menu was designed to create a celebratory experience while maintaining the brand’s commitment to high-quality ingredients. The launch of these specialty drinks at the new storefront highlights The Roaming Bean’s continued dedication to innovation and community engagement within Pittsburgh’s vibrant food and beverage scene.
