PITTSBURGH (PTTP)- The University of Pittsburgh’s Spring Commencement Ceremony
for students has been officially announced to take place at the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers,
Acrisure Stadium in the North Shore. The commencement will be on May 3, at 3:30 pm, with
graduates from every program and school present.
This year’s commencement will be hosted in the largest venue in recent years, with the last two
ceremonies taking place in PPG Paints Arena, home of the Penguins, and the Peterson Events
Center, which hosts Pitt Athletics. 2025 featured Pitt’s largest graduation class ever, with 2026
predicted to possibly exceed last year’s number.
Acrisure Stadium was selected to ensure seating for not only the school’s entire graduating class,
but also to expand potential ticket amounts for friends and family. Pitt has not officially
announced ticket availability and pricing.
For students to be eligible to graduate this May at Acrisure, they must register on the University’s
official commencement. Registration will run until April 1, 2026, with a full graduation calendar
featured on the University of Pittsburgh’s registrar website. Ticket amounts and pricing have not
been officially announced; however, they will be announced on both the commencement’s
official website as well as their Instagram page.
Family and friends who cannot attend in person will also be able to watch the commencement
live on the University of Pittsburgh’s YouTube channel
