PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – US and Israeli forces have combined efforts to carry out attacks on Iranian cities in what American President Donald Trump described as “major combat operations.” Trump has called out for Iranian public to rise up and fight back against their oppressive government regime, something he claims was made easier following the US and Israeli elimination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during the strikes. The beginning of the conflict has brought about mixed responses from Leaders around the World, who have begun to meet to discuss what their roles will be in the pending battle.
The United Nations was called to an emergency Security Council meeting in New York on Saturday, where UN Security General Antonio Guterres stated, “The use of force by the United States and Israel against Iran, and the subsequent retaliation by Iran across the region, undermine international peace and security. I call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and de-escalation. Failing to do so risks a wider regional conflict with grave consequences for civilians and regional stability.” Russia, an ally to Iran, also condemned the conflict, believing that the conflict could spread well beyond Iranian borders if allowed to continue. Chinese officials expressed a similar statement. Other leaders from Yemen, Brazil, North Korea, Pakistan, India, Chad, and Malaysia piled on to it as well, with the belief that the US and Israeli forces have overstepped their bounds, and that they will mourn the loss of Khamenei. Other leaders from the UK and Italy have dedicated themselves to ensuring the safety of their own borders, as well as easing tensions between the two sides in order to lessen conflict in the Middle East.
Iran has begun counterattacks on US and Israeli-controlled territory and military bases in Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, and Kuwait, as more countries get involved as the conflict continues.
