Montour High School

Montour High School proudly offers CHS Broadcasting I, a course that introduces students to the exciting world of broadcast media production. Located in a western suburb of Pittsburgh, Montour partners with the College in High School Program at the University of Pittsburgh to provide this unique opportunity, with the support of faculty liaison Mr. Kevin Smith. Through hands-on experiences in video editing, scriptwriting, camera operation, and on-air presentations, students create professional-quality content such as news segments, interviews, and special features. Montour’s CHS Broadcasting I class, taught by Ms. Gina Ligouri, fosters creativity and builds real-world skills, empowering students to become confident communicators and storytellers in an ever-evolving industry. We value and appreciate the mentorship from and collaboration with ‘Pitt to the Point’ this semester. GO SPARTANS!
