Risa Kampel is a Junior at the University of Pittsburgh studying Marketing with certificates in Television/Broadcast Arts and Sports Management.
Risa is from West Orange, New Jersey, where she attended West Orange High School. There, Risa was a cadet of the Air Force Junior ROTC program while also serving as a proud teammate on the varsity softball team. After engaging in the WOHS News/TV 36 program, Risa fell in love with broadcasting which carried over into college and is excited about her future in the world of news, media, and sports.
Currently at the University of Pittsburgh, Risa serves as the President of her sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi and a proud member of Phi Beta Lambda, one of Pitt’s professional business organizations. Risa is also a Social Media Intern for the University of Pittsburgh, Student Affairs division. This past summer, Risa was a Media Management Intern at MLB Network, working on numerous projects that furthered her passion for the sports industry. Finally, Risa served as a Sideline Reporter at the 2024 Pitt vs. West Virginia Backyard Brawl.
Risa is ecstatic to gain true, hands-on experience and showcase her talent through the incredible opportunities Pitt to the Point provides. In her free time, Risa enjoys reading, watching and playing sports, working out, and viewing the latest television shows and movies.
