BRADFORD, PA (PTTP) – On Feb. 10, Pitt Bradford’s nonprofit “The Hidden Opponent”, hosted a ‘Green Game’, for its student body and athletes to spread awareness and empowerment towards mental health, particularly within athletics. This event fundraised for the Guidance Center in Bradford, PA.
With this event, it aimed to bring together the entire student body and student athletes together to raise money and awareness towards this cause. The Hidden Opponent, and Pitt Bradford club, Student Athlete Mental Health Awareness Committee, worked together to create tee shirts, flags, posters, and decked the entire gym out with green to show its support.
The Hidden Opponent is a nonprofit that focuses on both in spreading awareness in mental athletes and its students. This organization was mainly put into gear in 2022, and has been active ever since. At Pitt Bradford, the organization is student run, and has been working throughout the entire year to host events for its fellow students. Not only has it hosted two ‘Green Games’, the organization also hosted events such as fun holiday themed events such as pumpkin smashing those negative feelings away and a home run derby to raise money for the organization.
