Cha Cha Real Smooth Wins Audience Award at Sundance

PITTSBURGH (PTTP) — Writer and director Cooper Raiff’s second film, “Cha Cha Real Smooth,” which was shot in August and September 2021 at the Pittsburgh Mills mall and across the Pittsburgh area, will stream on Apple TV+.

Apple acquired the film for $15 million dollars after its premiere at the virtual Sundance Film Festival last week. “Cha Cha Real Smooth” had a positive reception at the festival and won the Audience Award.

The film follows a 22-year-old graduate, played by Raiff, as he develops a relationship with an older woman, played by Dakota Johnson.

Apple has yet to announce a release date for the Pittsburgh product.
