Clara O’Bannon is a Sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Media and Professional Communications and minoring in English Literature while pursuing certificates both in Television and Broadcast Arts as well as Public and Professional Writing. Advancing her writing experience, she hopes to attain a career in the world of media.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Clara is interested in all the opportunities the city of Pittsburgh has to offer. This is her first season with Pitt to the Point and she looks forward to writing, reporting, and learning alongside really motivated peers. Back home, her hands-on experience relates to advertising and marketing thanks to her position as a Marketing Intern for a Real Estate Corporation, so she is excited to explore the broadcasting field.
Outside of Pitt to the Point, Clara is the Student Media Specialist for Pitt Global and is involved in the social sorority, Chi Omega, of which she is the Director of Career and Personal Development.
