Punxsutawney, Pa. (PTTP) — Derek Woods Band has had an exciting year, as this was their second year performing at Groundhog Day. Natalie Belin uncovered how the Derek Woods Band took Punxsutawney by storm.
Belin revealed exciting details of this year’s performance. She asked important questions that helped onlookers get to know who Derek Woods Band is and why their performance made this year’s Groundhog Day special. Derek Woods Band performed twice on (Groundhog Day) Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at Gobblers Knob. Additionally, Derek Woods Band performed in the evening on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Barclay Square.
“The Weather Capital of the World” is a lively place to be during Groundhog Day. Belin talked briefly about the Groundhog Day movie and how it was linked to Pittsburgh, Nicole Leckenby, an Author, who wrote a children’s book featuring Derek Woods Band called Groundhog Day. Leckenby is a Pitt Alumni and currently works at Pitt.
