PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – The Her Campus Club, a national organization where college women
write for college women. It is a place where women can be seen and feel free to write about
whatever they want. Lauren Deaton – the clubs president – describes the club as a comfortable
place where she can work openly with other women. Every meeting they pitch ideas to the
executive board and afterwards students are able to claim topics that are listed to write about for
the magazine. After the students have a full written paper for the magazine the editor and the
president check it over before it could be published for the following week. It is extremely fast
pace, but very rewarding for those who are in the club. The Her Campus Club meets every
week at 8pm on Tuesday nights in the O’Hara Student Center
