JOHNSTOWN, Pa (PTTP) – On Jan. 26 and 27, Pitt Johnstown hosted their annual “Winterfest”. The festival had several different events hosted throughout the weekend. Friday, included a wrestling match and an athletic alumni and guest reception. Saturday was friends and family day, which included inflatables inside the welcome center, open swim in the aquatic center, a double header of women and men’s basketball games, and a bonfire to end the evening.
Founded in 1927, the campus has over a 55% graduation rate. Alumni from throughout the years come together to celebrate with school pride and family fun. The Winterfest aims to involve both alumni and the surrounding community within the Johnstown campus. With this event, Johnstown aimed to reach out to many people within the town to encourage members of the community to attend Pitt Johnstown for education.
With this campus’s particular location, they held a bonfire at night which included; outdoor games, a barbeque, and drinks. The community and Mountain Cats came together for a day filled with fun activities and memories to last until next year’s Winterfest.
