Katie Pearson is a junior at Pitt majoring in Media and Professional Communications with
certificates in Sports Studies and TV and Broadcast Arts. A West Virginia native, Katie found
her love for sports broadcasting while videoing her high school’s wrestling team. Now in her
second season of Pitt to the Point, she is excited to see how much she has grown over her college
career.
Outside of the classroom, Katie has interned for Pitt Football, WV News, SportsNet Pittsburgh,
ACC Network, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. You can typically find her working Pitt broadcasts
on the graphics bench as the scorebug operator, graphics operator, or occasionally as the color
commentator for Pitt Wrestling.
In her free time, Katie enjoys reading (she read 82 books last year) and hanging out with her
friends
