Lights! Glamour! Action!

PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP)- The Pittsburgh Film office is a non-profit economic development agency working towards aiding film, television, and media production in the Pittsburgh region. Lights! Glamour! Action! is a gala event at the Pittsburgh Film Office help annually to help fundraise. This year’s event will be on March 14th, the day before the Oscars. The event takes the theme of the Academy Awards with a red carpet, celebrity guests, and a silent auction. These auctions help fund Pittsburgh film, TV, and commercial productions as well. The high profile silent auction takes donations from local businesses and more. Attendees are encouraged to wear Oscar-inspired attire.  

The PFO is currently working hard towards planning the event, with five people in their office as well as their student interns. Jenni Booker is the communications coordinator of the event helping promote the event, posting to social media, and making sure people are enjoying themselves at the event. One prize from the auction is an exclusive zoom interview with the creators at the television show “The Pitt”.  
Ticket sales and silent auction proceeds help aid the PFO achieve their mission. They also celebrate all work they have done for the film industry as well as supporting small businesses.
