My name is Nicholas Benec, and I am a Junior at the University of Pittsburgh. I am working
towards a degree in film and media studies and studio arts, with a certificate in broadcast
television.
Growing up within an hour drive from Pittsburgh, I have always had a connection to this city. I
have always been interested in storytelling and pursued it through school, from theater to TV
production classes. I’ve had experience both front and center as well as behind the scenes, and
I am still trying to improve.
After being accepted to Pitt, I’m still trying to learn how to become a better storyteller. My current
classes are sharpening my skills and honing in on my strengths. I hope through this year with
Pitt to the Point that I will produce my greatest works yet, and that I will tell real stories that
make an impact
