University of Pittsburgh Junior Richard Ferris Makes Impossible Shot to Score 12 Months of Free Rent

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (PTTP) – On Feb. 14 at a men’s basketball game University of Pittsburgh Junior Richard Ferris scores big as he gets rewarded 12 months of free rent.

All season at every men’s basketball game during halftime the University of Pittsburgh has had this promotion. They give someone from the Oakland Zoo (Pitt’s student section) the chance to try and win this amazing prize of a free year lease. Which of course is every student’s dream while going to a college in a city.

Ferris was challenged to make two shots from any spot on the court in both hoops. His first one was a regular three pointer while his second one was all net from three quarters away from the second hoop. Little did Ferris know that he would win a year of free living in an apartment in downtown Pittsburgh.

Ferris says that “I haven’t heard anything from the company yet” and that this experience “definitely changes a lot of things…” .

Winning this lease means so much to Ferris as he states “I don’t have to worry about some pretty pressing questions anymore…..I am very lucky to be going through all this”. Which he definitely is as every year students scramble to figure out off campus housing.
