JOHNSTOWN, PA (PTTP)- The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is celebrating their Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center’s 35th anniversary throughout their final performances on the 2026 spring season. Headlining these shows will be the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra which has called the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center home for decades.

The 67-member orchestra performs here once a month and are typically a hot commodity, especially during the holiday season when shows sell out months in advance. There are several people who have been season ticket holders since the day the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center opened. However, they insist they are not some exclusive club for legacy members and are always encouraging new faces to see what they are all about. With an emphasis on affordability, they offer tickets for just $10 to get in the door, and children are offered any seat in the theater for just $12.

Students at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown are significantly considered surrounding these concerts. Not only are they are often seen attending the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra performances, but students are also typically working on the crew getting professional experience working in theater. The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra is encouraged by this and wants to do everything they can to pass the tradition of performing arts on to the next generation.
