Migrant Clinicians Network
Pittsburgh, PA (PTTP) – Many Pitt graduates go on to lead successful careers, but it’s those who
give back that are special. Amy Liebman, Chief Program Officer at the Migrant Clinicians
Network, is one of those special people.
Three generations ago, Liebman’s family came to America. They worked hard to provide a better
life for their children, and succeeded in doing so. Now, Liebman seeks to give back to the
migrant workers of America who are trying to reach that same dream.
Liebman took an interest in Latin American studies, which is what brought her to Pitt. Her hard
work led her to working at the Migrant Clinicians Network, where her program has gone on to
receive multiple awards.
Liebman has advocated for all kinds of policies that protect immigrant rights in America,
especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was important to her to protect worker’s health and
livelihoods.
Even still, Liebman continues to push for immigrant rights. She helps to ensure that everyone in
America is treated fairly.
