PITTSBURGH (PTTP)- William ‘Bill’ Pietragallo was named a “Distinguished Alumni” by the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2012. Besides being an adjunct professor for the law school, his resume and long work in the legal field leaves no questions as to why he earned this title.

Pietragallo was a founding partner of the law firm that holds his name in 1987. He has over 100 successful civil jury trial verdicts that range from antitrust cases to airline disasters. His firm recently merged to form Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP.

While his firm has five locations stretching from West Virginia to New Jersey, Pietragallo stays active in the Pittsburgh community. He serves as Chairman of the Board of UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital of Pittsburgh and has won several awards for philanthropy and service work.

Pietragallo has previously worked with the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, serving on the Disciplinary Board and Civil Rules Committee.

Pietragallo has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for 25 years consecutively and was previously named “Lawyer of the Year” in Pittsburgh.
