PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP) – Sarah Moore is a Film and Media teaching assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh. She teaches a variety of film courses at the University including filmmaking and video installation.
While also being a professor, Moore has discovered her love for nature and the outdoors, and captures it through her photography and videography. In 2024, she had two shows, one in Bradock which featured a ten screen video installation called Greenway. Greenway talked about a rewilded golf course by her house.
Along with this show, she has another show being played at the University Art Gallery on Pitt’s campus called Rewilding, which is a continuation of the gold course project. This installation features videos of rewilded golf courses all through the Eastern US.
Moore describes rewilding as, “taking spaces that used to be controlled by humans or used by humans for industry or commercialism and the spaces have been given back to nature”.
Moore took inspiration from living behind a rewilded golf course, which transpired into creating videos and showcasing them through film.
