PITTSBURGH, Pa. (PTTP) – – Over spring break, Pitt’s own Habitat for Humanity Club went to Wilmington, North Carolina for their annual Collegiate Challenge outreach trip. Club members worked with Habitat for Humanity affiliates to assist in building a house for a family in need. Students spent five to six hours a day doing everything from framing walls to shingling roofs.
The club fundraised in advance to help with travel expenses, housing, and to donate to the Wilmington Habitat for Humanity. Pitt to the Point’s own Miah Wojdyla accompanied them to aid them in their project.
All Pitt students are welcome to join the club which focuses on volunteer work and helping local community members. They can be reached through their Instagram page @H4HatPitt.
