The Pitt News Rundown

PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – Pitt to the Point collaborates with The Pitt News to share their top three stories for the week. 

The University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson school of engineering joined the Keystone Space Collaborative, a nonprofit organization committed to space-related studies and technological advancements. This partnership highlights the increased investment of space exploration in Pittsburgh at the university and community level.

Sarah Mayer, a junior neuroscience and psychology major at Pitt, is the only candidate running for the presidential position of the Student Government Board. Sarah and her slate, The Blank Slate, plan to develop the students of color solidarity task force into a permanent committee and enhance the Career Center’s support for post-graduates.

Last Sunday, about 50 members of Pitt’s Faculty Union assembled outside of the Peterson Events Center to endorse a $60,000 base salary for part-time faculty. The faculty union and the University of Pittsburgh are currently working on salary negotiations for full-time and part-time faculty.
