Pitt Titusville Undergoes a New Rebrand

TITUSVILLE, Pa (PTTP)- On March 11, 2024, Pitt Titusville held a ceremony to launch its official rebrand. The college is now known officially as, “Pitt Titusville Education and Training Center.” This rebrand has been in the discussion for many years. However, true development work began in the Spring of 2023. This rebranding is coupled with the introduction of new programs, a new logo, and renovations to campus buildings. All these changes seek to benefit the larger Titusville community as well as the regional economy.

The Education and Training Center (ETC) is a combination of multiple different partners. Firstly, the Brockway Center for Arts and Technology provides programs in clinical medical assistance and phlebotomy. Secondly, the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College provides courses that lead to five different associate degrees. Thirdly, Pitt Titusville offers associate degrees in nursing. Lastly, Pitt’s Swanson School of Engineering Manufacturing Assistance Center provides courses in basic machining and CNC operation.

These programs are designed to allow people to gain access to affordable education, training, and certification that the regional workforce requires. Additionally, this program furthers Pitt Titusville’s goal of catering to a wide variety of students. In many cases, the students are just out of high school. However, many students are people who have been in the workforce for many years and are looking to get the proper training and education needed to upskill.

This initiative benefits not only the region’s residents who enroll in these courses but also the regional economy, as it allows the workforce of the region to stay local to get their proper training. Therefore, the regional economy retains its workers while providing them with a means to improve their skills and enhance the economy.

Furthermore, the new name and logo that were unveiled carry great significance. Firstly, the word “and” in the name “Education and Training Center” emphasizes the union between the two practices to fully embody what the ETC represents. Furthermore, the logo incorporates both the letters “ETC” and is shaped like an infinity sign to represent the continued growth and improvement of the region’s workforce.

In addition to the rebranding, Pitt Titusville is undergoing renovations as part of the ETC. This is primarily taking place within the J. Curtis McKinney II Student Union. Here, the campus is adding an art gallery, a Machine Assistance Center workshop, a maker space, a fitness center, as well as a digital arts lab and studio. These renovations will be completed by the spring of 2025.
