Pittsburgh Festival Makes a Return with Some Changes

Three Rivers Art Festival, 7th Street

PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP) — The Three Rivers Arts Festival has been held every summer in
Pittsburgh for the past 66 years. It is a free, outdoor festival that includes visual and performance
art and live performances from many artists. This festival usually spans 10 days and takes place
in Downtown Pittsburgh.

The festival will be making its return to the Steel City this summer, however not the same as it
has in the past. It will now only be four days, June 5-8, and will be in a new location. It was just
announced that the festival will be taking place at the 15th Street Plaza along Waterfront Place in
the Strip District for just this year. The change in location is due to construction happening in the
future location of the Three Rivers Arts Festival. The new home for the festival will be on the
8th Street Block Civic Space in the Cultural District.

Many of the festival’s favorite artists will be making a return, however the full list of performers
is said to be announced in the spring. In the past there have been 400+ artists and musicians
featured at the festival. Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Ben Folds and so many other well known
artists have performed at the Three Rivers Arts Festival.
