PITTSBURGH (PTTP) — Pittsburgh native Sam Max directed the short film “Chaperone,” which premiered at the virtual Sundance Film Festival in January.
“Chaperone” stars fellow Pittsburgher Zachary Quinto, who also starred in Star Trek: Beyond and American Horror Story. Quinto plays the titular chaperone in the film, which follows Quinto and Russell Kahn in a moving and surprising 15 minutes. “
Chaperone” was selected from over 10,000 submissions as one of the 59 shorts that played at the festival and did not receive any of the awards for short films.
The film received positive reviews and has yet to be picked up for general distribution.
