PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP)- After being inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2025, President Donald Trump
would go to work in just a matter of hours. In the 10 days following, President Trump revoked 78
executive orders from the previous Biden Administration, put dozens of executive orders in
place, and passed his first official bill.
President Trump would immediately declare two separate National Emergencies: one on the
Southern Border and one involving the Energy Crisis. In the following days, President Trump
would remove birthright citizenship, designate cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, and
instill homeland security in each state to allow for immigration enforcement. These deportations
will now follow the newly signed Laken Riley Act, which calls for the detainment and
deportation of illegal immigrants suspected of crimes. To aid the National Energy Emergency,
Trump has withdrawn from the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the Paris
Agreement.
Amongst the 78 revoked orders, the removal of all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
programs in the Federal Government is one President Trump has continued to expound on. The
ending of these programs has placed all federal DEI workers on leave. This also follows Trump’s
plan to shrink the federal government. He has also indicated he will cut all funding for DEI
programs in universities. President Trump also declared that the United States would only
recognize two sexes, male and female, effective immediately.
In an attempt to begin the elimination of funding and grants for DEI programs, as well as other
Biden Administration programs, President Trump would freeze federal funding. However, this
was quickly rescinded due to the concern that this would affect programs such as Medicaid
designed to aid citizens, however, Trump has stated this was not the goal of the freeze
