PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP) – NASA and SpaceX are going forward with plans to launch the agency’s Crew-10 mission on Friday at 7:03 p.m. EDT. The coverage of the launch will began around 3 p.m. on March 14 on NASA+.
This launch comes 8 days after the SpaceX exploded after a loss of attitude control and communication.
The launch was supposed to happen on Wednesday March 12, but was called off due to a ground issue. A problem on the hydraulic system for clam arms, caused the launch to be pushed back. The weather is forecasted to be excellent causing no delays in the launch on the 14th which will be taking off at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The crew will hopefully arrive at the station around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday March 15, and spend a couple of days working and getting used to the new station’s systems.
If all goes according to plan, Crew-10 will switch with SpaceX Crew-9, which includes astronauts Nick Hague, Aleksandr Gorbunov, and Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have been up in space for almost 9 months.
Crew-9 would undock and be scheduled for an arrival back to Earth as soon as Wednesday March 19.
