The Heinz History Center and The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh Ranks Amongst the Nations Best in USA Today Awards

PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP) – Two Pittsburgh museums have snagged top spots in the USA Today’s
10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2024.

America’s best history museum went to the Heinz History Center, while the Children’s Museum of
Pittsburgh was ranked as the nation’s second-best children’s museum. The Children’s Museum of
Pittsburgh makes the 10 Best lists for its fifth consecutive year, retaining its spot from last year at No. 2.
The Heinz History Center competed against 21 other museums in its category, climbing the ranks from its second-place spot last year.

The Heinz History Center educates visitors on the history of Western Pennsylvania with a prominent
exhibit dedicated entirely to “Mister Rodgers’ Neighborhood”. The exhibit features original pieces from
the Pittsburgh-filmed show. The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh houses notable exhibits such as the
Garage, the Art Studio, and the Kindness Gallery.

Both Andy Masich, president and CEO of the Heinz History Center, and Max Pipman, senior director of
communications for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, were honored to hear of their respective
museum’s rankings. Masich and Pipman expressed their gratitude towards voters and the Pittsburgh
community for supporting and enabling their commitment to top-tier educational experiences.
