Pittsburgh, PA (PTTP) – Pitt to the Point collaborates with The Pitt News to broadcast three of their top stories. 

The candidates for next year’s student government board began their election cycle at the “Meet the Candidates” event. In the upcoming election, there are two slates, the illuminate slate, and the disrupt slate. As well as independents Corbin Makar, Matt Zurich, and Brayden Issermayer. Voting will take place on March 21 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Students at the University of Pittsburgh created a start-up company to promote safety and confidence around campus. Underdog teaches students how to protect themselves when they are in danger. The classes have both an informative session and a self-defense lesson. In addition, the organization spreads awareness of resources around Pitt’s campus. Last Saturday, the University of Pittsburgh Wrestling team clinched the share of the ACC Champion title for the 2023 season. Pitt competed in a match against Duke University, where they won 43-three. Before the match, five seniors were honored during the senior night presentation. The seniors honored included number 10 ranked Micky Phillippi, and number one ranked Nino Bonaccorsi. Pitt now looks to their upcoming competitions in the ACC and NCAA tournaments.
