Carolina. Since Tuesday, The Panthers have been competing against 14 separate teams. The

they finish competing on Saturday, The Panthers will have a short break before going to Rutgers
for the NCAA Diving Zones in March.

The Student Government Board discussed several topics last Tuesday as part of their weekly
meeting at Nordy’s. Students for Justice in Palestine raised concerns as two questions they
submitted for the student wide campus referendum were rejected. While the committee feels the
questions did not “pose neutrality” as put by a SJP representative, they claim to be “disturbed by
the committee’s definition of neutrality.”
Other topics included the concerns of allocations towards student organizations, as well as a
resolution to limit single-use plastic water bottles and improvements for student renters.

With President Donald Trump’s plans to roll back anti-discrimination policies, Pitt’s Unions and
bargaining contracts have the potential to be affected. These policies, which aim to combat
discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin, are already part of union
contracts. Despite the future of these policies being up in the air, Unit President of Pitt’s faculty
union Tyler Bickfort is adamant that “civil and human rights are core values for our union”, and
that the contracts will still guarantee those rights.
