PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – Pitt to the Point collaborates with The Pitt News to share their top three stories for the week.
The 3-1 spring game win of Pitt volleyball against Ohio State displayed their confidence and proficiency, highlighting their team’s depth despite the absence of their six new members. Although the roster is not yet fully established, head coach Dan Fisher expressed contentment with the current personnel under his supervision.

The sound of cannons filled the air, accompanied by red confetti and smoke, causing the students to jump in excitement as Carly Rae Jepsen hit the beat drop just before the chorus of her song, “Run Away with Me.” Jepsen emerged from a sparkling rose-gold curtain wearing black leather pants and invited the students to dance with her under the retro flashing lights, multi-colored confetti cannons, and smoke bursts.

Vice Provost for Graduate Studies, Amanda Godley, reported that Pitt’s graduate enrollment has grown at a slower pace compared to other Association of American Universities public schools such as Penn State University over the past decade. While AAU public schools have experienced a growth of almost 25% in their graduate enrollment during the same period, Pitt’s enrollment has decreased by about 9.6%. Pitt offers 359 diverse graduate programs across 14 schools, which also includes 62 programs that are exclusively available online.
