PITTSBURGH (PTTP) — Tom Hanks will be in Pittsburgh in February to shoot a new film, “A Man Called Otto,” just a few years after working in the city shooting “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.”
The film is a remake of a 2016 Swedish film, “A Man Called Ove,” based on the Frederik Backman novel of the same name. Rachel Keller, Mariana Trevino, and Mauel Garcia-Rulfo co-star alongside Hanks.
Screenwriter David Magee, of “Finding Neverland,” will be adapting the script and Marc Forster, director of “Quantum of Solace,” will be behind the camera.
“A Man Called Otto” is currently casting background extras of all ages both full-time and part-time.
