PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – University of Pittsburgh’s Symphony Orchestra – Spring concert season has begun. On Feb. 22, the Pitt Symphony had its first concert of the season. The event was held in the Bellefield Hall Auditorium.
The concert consisted of music composed by Adenuga-‘Are’, Barab, Dvorak, Reiter, and Schubert. The conductors were Roger Zahab (Director of the Orchestra), and Emmanuel Berrido. The concert was free and open to the public. If one couldn’t make the event (in-person), they could listen via livestream on the Music at Pitt YouTube channel.
Zahab is the Director of the Orchestra, Instructor, and Conductor. Berrido is a former Ph.D. student here at Pitt. Additionally, Berrido conducted a piece from Wednesday’s performance.
Lastly, one will understand the importance of the Pitt Symphony Orchestra and what it takes to prepare for a concert.
