PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP)- Wishmakers at Pitt is a new club here started by Caitlyn Chen and Shiyan Huang. They started the club since they both have worked with kids for a large portion of their lives and wanted to continue that at Pitt. Chi Omega sorority’s philanthropy is Make-a-Wish, but there is no club or a way for students here to be involved with just Make-a-Wish. After working with a representative from Make-a-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia Chapter, they were able to found the club.
The goal of this club is to spread joy into children’s lives who are navigating through their journey’s. Whether that is through making cards, attending events, or even bracelet making, they wanted to create a way for students of all backgrounds and majors to work with these kids. Overall, Wishmakers on Campus goal is to help fund wishes for kids, host events, and get donations to go towards these wishes.
