Biden and Trump Lead Super Tuesday, While Nikki Haley Drops Out

PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP) – On Tuesday, March 5, this year’s Super Tuesday took place with
over a dozen states participating. Joe Biden and Donald Trump took the lead in both Democrat
and Republican parties.

There were 865 Republican delegates up for grabs throughout the 16 states and one territory.
Former President, Donald Trump currently leads with 1,031 delegates and needs 1,215 to win the
Republican party nomination. Trump won all states except for Vermont, where former U.N.
Ambassador Nikki Haley took the lead gaining 9 delegates.

Nikki Haley announced on Wednesday morning that she will be ending her presidential
campaign. Haley suspended her campaign the day after she won Vermont’s delegates over
Donald Trump. Haley ended her campaign with 89 delegates. This leads Donald Trump as the
presumptive GOP nominee.

President Joe Biden currently leads the Democrat party with 1,527 delegates, needing 1,968 to
win the Democratic party nomination. Jason Palmer, the businessman from Baltimore, MD, won
the American Samoa Democratic delegates 51 votes to 40. This was President Joe Biden’s first
primary defeat.
