PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – Governor Josh Shapiro announced the headliners for the Commonwealth Concert Series this past week.
In honor of America’s 250th Pennsylvania celebration, Governor Shapiro announced a free concert series featuring five performances across the state. The performances will take place from the end of May to the end of June.
Locations and headliners include Cole Swindell and Gabby Barrett in State College, The Fray in Erie, The Avett Brothers in Hershey, Lady A with En Vogue in Wilkes-Barre, and Third-Eye Blind with Nelly in Pittsburgh.
Pennsylvania has become a host for major events this year, including the NFL Draft, FIFA World Cup, America250PA, the PGA Championship, and more. According to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, “The Commonwealth Concert Series honors that legacy by bringing people together in communities across Pennsylvania”. The Commonwealth hopes that this concert series will be an additional boost to tourism and economic growth for the state.
The concert series tickets have not yet been released, but those interested can sign up for the mailing list on the America250PA website.
