PITTSBURGH, PA (PTTP) – The University of Pittsburgh’s fiction book club, better known as Bookmarked, is a club where students can come together and discuss books. Students of any major and year can join the club.
The club reads a variety of books, a different genre every time. On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, the club read the book, One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The club votes on the books in advance, and has already decided on the books for the 2024 Fall semester.
President of the club, Elizabeth Gillette, states how this is a club that is constantly growing and looking for new members to express themselves and their passions through reading.
The club meets biweekly on Wednesdays and talks about the assigned book they are reading. Members do not have to go to every meeting or finish the book to be in the club. The club is always looking for new members to join the club.
