Imagination Project

The Imagination Project is a service organization at the University of Pittsburgh where the club
goes out to different healthcare facilities dressing up as different princesses, princes, superheroes,
etc. playing with kids who are in need. The process of reaching out to these different events is
quite simple. The club has a long standing relationship with some of the healthcare facilities and
they will reach out to the club asking them to come visit. The club will also be referred to other
healthcare facilities and will reach out to them to help set up a time where they could come hang
out and play with the kids. Danielle Hannah, a member of the club, expresses her reasoning for
why she joined the Imagination Project. “I joined the club because when I was younger, I had a
family friend who had a brain tumor. He got to go to Magic Kingdom for his make a wish project
and when he came back he brought a photo book that had tons of autographs and signatures from
his favorite characters that were there. It made him so happy and I know a lot of kids do not get
to do things like that so that is why I joined the club to bring magic and happiness to those kids.”
The imagination project meets every other Monday at 9 p.m. in room 837 of the William Pitt
Union.
