PITTSBURGH, Pa. (PTTP) — Last Saturday, April 13, the Pitt Football team held their annual
Blue and Gold Spring football game at Acrisure Stadium. The Gold team came out on top by a
final score of 17-10.

There were many takeaways from Saturday afternoon. The big question mark on the QB1 spot
for next season still remains, but Junior Nate Yarnell, the team’s former third string, had a
standout performance at the position. Yarnell went 12 of 16 on the day with 108 yards and a
34-yard touchdown.

Other impressive showings included the defense on both teams, as well as Senior tight end Gavin
Bartholomew, who put up 122 receiving yards and a touchdown despite limited minutes on the
field.

The stars were out on a sunny day at Acrisure, such as Aaron Donald, Damar Hamlin, and James
Connor, all former Panthers who have gone on to play professionally.
Hamlin even shouted out former Pitt cornerback Louis Riddick, whose clothing line of Pitt
apparel just released.

“It’s beautiful, you know I appreciate him allowing me to have this before it’s released. It just
dropped, so y’all better go get that,” Hamlin said showing off his gear.

Riddick played six years in the NFL and is now currently an NFL and college football
commentator for ESPN. He is returning to his roots at the University of Pittsburgh to put his own
personal touch on Pitt merchandise
