PITTSBURGH (PTTP) – Pitt to the Point collaborates with The Pitt News to share their top three stories for the week.
The Foreign Language and Area Studies program offers scholarships and grants to undergraduate and graduate students to study lesser-known languages. The yearlong FLAS Fellowship for undergraduate students provides a tuition scholarship of up to $10,000 with a $5,000 stipend.

Pitt alum Yasmine Crawley wrote the short film “In Good Hands” which sensationalizes the workday of a Black doctor in Pittsburgh. The stories told in the film are based on Dr. Owusu-Ansah’s memoir, who is the only Black pediatric emergency attending physician working at The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. The screening took place at The Center for Creativity last Thursday.

Last Saturday, Post Genre hosted a three-concert series in the church on Atwood in Central Oakland. The Oakland-based music project hopes to make the church a permanent musical space for concertgoers, as it has not been regularly used in recent years.
