Women In Law is an organization at the University of Pittsburgh that empowers young women
who want to go into the legal field. They are women who are not yet in law school, but still want
to pursue law. This club makes women feel as though they are not alone, they are a community
that comes together and embraces the study of law. Their meetings typically occur on
Wednesdays at nine o’clock in the Barco Law Building where they have a presentation on what
the club meeting is going to be about or sometimes they will have guest speakers come in and
share their knowledge and experiences with the members of the club. With this year being an
election year the President and the Vice President of the club are making sure their club members
are educated and they are making sure that their members are able to vote.
